“We believe that if the Lord is exalted through our praise and worship, you are obedient to His word. Exaltation by His grace is forthcoming in due time. We’ve been healed, delivered and we believe that the ministry God has birthed in us is for this day.”
-- Pastor Roger Cheeks

Meet Pastor Roger Cheeks

Perhaps one of the most unusual aspects of Pastor Rogers’ ministry is the statement of his heart.

“God has made us in his likeness and image to become His sons and daughters, now is the time to reveal God’s purpose so every believer can achieve their divine destiny and walk in dominion authority.”

His ministry crosses racial, gender, socio-economic and denominational lines and is intended to reach people where they live. The ministry has been birthed out of twenty years of participating in the spiritual and personal life changing process that the Lord has provided. Many powerful, prophetic words have been pronounced through God’s divine process. He has begun to shape the destiny and purpose of our life.

Striving for excellence in all he undertake, Roger is married to Lychellia are they are the parents of four beautiful children and one grandchild.  Roger is the Senior Pastor of New Dominion Fellowship. He's also the Director of Student Life and Interim Chaplain at Regent University. He was a former city-councilman in the city of Terre Haute, Indiana, where he also served as Senior Pastor of Miracle Church. He has been recognized by Ebony magazine in 1992 as one of “America’s 50 Young Leaders of Tomorrow.”

While Roger was in ministry in Indiana, God developed in him a burden for those who are broken, rejected, and wounded by life’s circumstances. Together they developed several ministries such as, the Christian housing corp. and the House of Ruth. The Christian housing corp. provided housing for low to moderate income families. The House of Ruth program was a home for unwed mothers and pregnant teens. They also developed the Life Impact drug rehabilitation program and the Child Care Academy for low to moderate income families.

Pastor Roger is also a worshipper and has recorded three worship music projects. Roger along with his wife Lychellia have hosted regional Trinity Broadcasting Network’s Praise the Lord program and he has appeared on the nationally televised Steve Brock show. Roger has been a special music guest for the Buffalo Bills during one of their pre-game chapel services. He has also ministered in song with artists such as: Nicolas, the Williams Brothers, Douglas Miller, Bishop Leonard Scott, Judy Jacobs, Acappella, Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, and the Mississippi Mass Choir.

His ministry influences include Roger's parents, the late Pastor Emeritus Essie & Mrs. Virginia Cheeks, Bishop Robert Smith Bishop Charles Blake, Bishop Harry Jackson, Bishop T. D. Jakes,  Bishop Wellington Boone and Kevin Leal.

“If the Lord is exalted through our praise and worship, and you are obedient to His word. Exaltation by His grace is forthcoming in due time. I’ve been healed, delivered and I believe that God want to reveal His glory to and through His people in this day.” -- Pastor Roger Cheeks
